Circuit Art & Mosaïques
Launched in 2018 by the City of Sherbrooke, the Art and Mosaic Circuit is an artistic adventure with mosaicultures and urban art. Combining 2D and 3D structures, the 20 installations in the floral circuit are scattered around the Lac-des-Nations, Parc du Domaine-Howard and throughout the city.
New in 2019
Gustave the Garden Gnome, a giant 9-foot high gnome, will not go unnoticed. A universal emblem of gardening, the enormous garden gnome also guards a mailbox filled with mosaic postcards. This mobile work, which is already attracting interest on social networks, will also stroll Sherbrooke throughout all summer, travelling to the city's festivals and events.
At 11 feet high and 8 feet wide, Sherbrooke's Rubber Ducky is impressive to see. Made out of more than 5,000 yellow alternanthera, the giant Sherbyducky will accompany passers-by on the Lac-des-Nations Boardwalk all summer long. This cute mosaiculture already attracts young and old alike, who enjoy taking pictures alongside this impressive colossus.
La fine fleur and Qui s’y frotte s’y pique are also new for 2019. Both represent oversized flowerpots and plants for the enjoyment of tourists visiting the Tourist Information Office and passers-by on the Lac-des-Nations Boardwalk.
The public can meet a gardener at Domaine-Howard every day of the week to learn more about horticulture: Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
