The Bois Beckett is an old growth maple wood with a surface area of seventy hectares where you can also find concentrations of hemlocks, beeches and a about thirty other trees. The Ministère des Ressources Naturelles et de la Faune has recognised the Bois Beckett as an old growth forest. In total, 132 bird species from across Quebec live there, and bird watchers come and visit each year. The 8 cleared paths are a perfect way to go for a hike in nature with your family.

Hiking and walking trail: 6.1 km

The Bois Beckett is a perfect spot for anyone looking for a peaceful place to go for a walk or hike. Many people walk, snowshoe or cross-country ski there. They admire the magnificent trees in the old growth forest and admire the flora and fauna. Others love to watch or listen to birds. There is a strict code in place for all users of the wood.

A municipal parking lot is available behind the aqueduct, about 1 km from the Blvd. Jacques Cartier near the rue Pascal.
