The Winter Placettes
To enjoy the beautiful cold season, the City of Sherbrooke offers both citizens and visitors 4 winter “Placettes”. These winter facilities allow you to meet for a safe socially distanced experience. Located around the city, the winter Placettes offer relaxing spaces based on different winter themes. Young and old will be charmed by the scenery, lighting and activities offered. The Placettes will be in place until March 7, 2021.
Le jardin de givre du Carré Strathcona
Located in front of the city hall, the Le Jardin de Givre du Carré Strathcona has several areas where you can relax to enjoy our beautiful winter days. Whether to savour a good outdoor coffee or hang out (socially distanced bubbles please), it’s a great place to change your pace. You can also admire the magnificent ice furniture showcasing winter’s beauty.
La Placette — King Est Street
La Placette, located in the former city parking lot between 502 and 524 King Est, offers a place to relax. Adirondack chairs, side tables and decorated fir trees welcome visitors to the Fleurimont area.
La placette enneigée du parc du Petit-Canada
With its illuminated benches, fir trees and the fir artwork reigning in the centre of the relaxation area, the La Placette Enneigée du Parc du Petit-Canada is the perfect spot to enjoy the winter. A special feature of this location - visitors can leave their mark by writing a note on the fir tree.
Square Queen Banquise
Located in Lennoxville, the Square Queen Banquise offers facilities that will delight young and old alike. Decorated with large snowballs towering above the seats, the fun outdoor area also offers activities for children such as snow sculpture.
