Mémoire vive is a new 5.6 km self-guided heritage walking tour in Sherbrooke’s city centre. Follow your guide, the new iPad! Available at the Musée de la nature et des sciences de Sherbrooke and the Sherbrooke Historical Society, the videoguided tour is presented on an Apple iPad. The portable device allows you to watch short clips about Sherbrooke’s murals, discover and enlarge historical photos, and listen to various musical pieces related to the 10 fresco murals throughout the city. With the help of the integrated Global Positioning System (GPS) navigating through the city will never have been so easy. Let the characters depicted on Sherbrooke’s wonderful fresco murals tell their story, experience Sherbrooke’s living history!

Art, history and discoveries for all!
The fresco murals themselves are the major attractions of this tour but it is also populated by many urban and natural sights: rivers, waterfalls, parks, museums, shops, art galleries and numerous terraces. While their parents discover about Sherbrooke’s history, children should keep an eye out for the leprechaun hidden on each mural, count how many animals are concealed in the mural on rue Frontenac and find the many ladybugs in the mural on rue Alexandre! Pleasure guaranteed for both adults and children!

Starting Points: the Musée de la nature et des sciences de Sherbrooke and the Sherbrooke Historical Society.
