Karma Kameleons – Ultimate homage to the 80s!

In 1981, the Karma Kameleons disappeared during a performance at Madison Square Garden in New York. As the story goes, a short circuit propelled the group 25 years into the future. Since then, they have constantly claimed that they should be given credit for the great hits performed by artists such as Duran Duran, Michael Jackson, Def Leppard and others, all of them friends of Karma who apparently borrowed their hits during their “absence”. Guaranteed memories and pleasure!

Marina Isabel – duo or quintet

Marina Isabel has been singing and playing the violin since the age of six. Very early in life, she developed a passion for piano and guitar and she was able to study violin with masters such as Claude Létourneau and Martin Foster. This very talented artist holds a Teaching diploma in music, she can play a number of instruments and she excels in all the music genres. In quintet or duo, their presence will ensure the ideal background pop, jazz or lounge music for your cocktail parties and dinners.

Sherbrooke Symphony Orchestra

The Sherbrooke Symphony Orchestra is the only professional symphony orchestra in the Eastern Townships region. It is also one of Canada’s oldest such formations. All of its musicians are members of the Guilde des musiciens du Québec and are recruited following auditions that respect stiff norms. Rebound – cover band

Good friends since their teens, Normand Pelletier (singer) and Patrick Boisvert (drummer) collaborated on a number of musical compositions in the end of the 80s and early 90s. After a few years, they founded the group Attrape-Nigaud and they participated in L’empire des futures stars, an annual musical contest in Montreal. As he searched for musicians to take part in the contest, Normand called upon Sébastien Montplaisir (lead guitar) and Luc Richard (base) with whom he was performing in Elvis Story at the Capitole in Québec City. From their very first public performance in the contest, there was a definite chemistry on stage. Their collaboration lasted for some years before the four members of the group moved on to other individual or collective projects of their own, although still getting together on occasions…

Les Trois Divines – Humour and opera

Lovers, servants, rivals and especially complicitous, the Trois Divines offer a new voyage into the feminine universe on the occasion of an audition session mounted by Loretta Divines, the Grande Dame Divine. Catharina Divine, soprano, and Sarah Divyne, contralto, turn up for an audition and quickly plunge into a competitive struggle that causes their feathers to ruffle. We listen to their frolicking in the Two Cats by Rossini, then the Voix rivales by Bordèse. Following these incidents they are drawn into complicity at all cost, notably in the airs of La Périchole and La Veuve joyeuse, Offenbach, Bizet’s Carmen, Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess and the classics from Berstein’s West Side Story.

Trovando

Trovando is led by two authors, composers and performers of Cuban origin, guitarist Yurien Hernandez and pianist and arranger Julian Gutiérrez. Both men are professional musicians who performed many times in Cuba as well as on world tours, before meeting in Sherbrooke and forming Trovando. Their festive music is a lively mix of salsa, cha-cha-cha and various sounds and rhythms, sometimes jazzy, sometimes reggae or influenced by bossa nova.
